Investigating States of Matter

We heated a variety of  solids to observe what happens.
We had to be very careful and make sure we all knew the rules for this test.

What happened to the wax after it had cooled?

We noticed some reversible changes.

Egyptian Day

4DR ready to take part in Egyptian Day
Egyptian Day was great fun for all, we went on a treasure hunt and had to decipher clues like Howard Carter and recreated some 'Wonderful things!'

The Rainbow People

Well Done 4DR !!
Our assembly was about the Rainbow People. In class we are learning about playscripts, so we decided to do an assembly about cultural diversity. We all had great fun acting, singing and dancing. Mr. Rhys Jones played the guitar for us and Miss. O'Sullivan helped on the piano.

A huge, big THANK YOU to Mr. Busek, one of our parents who very kindly volunteered himself to play a very important part in our play. He was a magnificent alien, and nobody noticed when he had to sneak out at the end.

 We had some dancing,,,
 and some singing too...
Well done to everybody who helped make our assembly a great success. Thank you. 4DR

Properties of materials

We have been classifying materials in science today. We investigated the properties of many different materials and sorted them using a Carroll diagram.

Investigating different methods of division

We have been learning to divide with the chunking method.
It is a good job that we know our 'x'tables!
